Plan Ahead
No, we do not advocate getting rid of (trading) your best employee/associate. But, major league baseball teams do try to plan ahead, as do most organizations. And now is the time! Unlike the baseball business, organizations do not have a trading deadline. And, rarely, do they have a “no trade” clause in their employment agreement. In order to consistently be at the top of the heap, we suggest you include people in your long-range planning. Employment (new hires) numbers are up according to recent labor statistics. But, we believe a recruiting firm such as Wood-Snodgrass, Inc. is an even better barometer. And, we have seen a resurgence of hiring in recent months. From engineering managers to human resource executives to physicians and in a wide array of industries . . . consumer goods, manufacturing, and services. . . all are hiring once again at significant levels. So, our question to our clients IS: Are you planning ahead? Now is the best time for you to gain the edge on your competition. Hiring the best person takes time and effort. Execute your hiring plan now and gain that competitive edge. Call us; we’ll help you do it! Bill - Steve - Howard
