In 2001, William Wood and Stephen Snodgrass founded and incorporated the Kansas Corporation of Wood-Snodgrass, Inc.

Prior to this, Bill and Steve had been Co-Principals of the Executive Search Division within DeFrain-Mayer, a long established Midwest Regional Human Resources Consulting Firm.

The decision to purchase the Executive Search Practice from DeFrain-Mayer was the right time in that the Regional Firm had been purchased two years earlier by a National Company, Palmer & Cay out of Savannah, Georgia. As a result, Bill and Steve strategically determined their desire to remain a “Boutique Firm” and to offer specialized / designed executive search and management consulting ….. And, it is that proven set of methodologies practiced by Wood-Snodgrass all of these years that have kept their firm so very active with multiple recruiting assignments for an array of clients throughout many industries.
